Useful Tricks

The “Happy Park” Pizza: Who said you must always sit down for a decent meal? Just walk over to the pizzeria at Happy Park (within the same complex). The place is cheerful. The pizza is great. Most of the time, it’s packed with locals. All that provides a good break from the mood in the hotel dining room.

Rent an e-bike from the hotel or a nearby shop. Pedal “Lunga Via delle Dolomiti” to Cortina- it’s about an hour ride, intensely scenic and spares you parking hassles in Cortina. Have lunch there and roll back down home.

Spa Timing: The wellness center is popular. If you wish to use the pool or sauna after skiing, attempt to go immediately when you return (around 4:00 PM) or right before dinner to avoid the peak rush hour of 5:30 PM -7:00 PM.

Visit the Eni Village: Borca is known for 'Villaggio Eni', a utopian architectural project by Edoardo Gellner from the 1950s. It lies nearby in the woods. Ask at reception if there are any guided tours available to view the futuristic church and cabins; it's an interesting slice of architectural history.

Ski Shuttle: If visiting during the high season, reserve your spot on the hotel's ski shuttle the night before. Ask where it is doing drop-offs-San Vito di Cadore lifts (perfect for families and beginners) or main Cortina lifts (Tofana/Faloria)-then you won't stand outside in freezing temperatures unnecessarily early because you know exactly when to get picked up.
